Join us for an unforgettable week in Maryland County, Liberia, as we connect with our heritage, contribute to the community, and explore the beauty of the region!

December 6: 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM - Meet and Greet for those who have arrived

 

Day 1 - Monday, December 7: Arrival & Welcome to Harper

  • 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM: Official Welcome & Kola Nuts Ceremony at the Administration Building, hosted by the Traditional Leaders/Chiefs, esteemed Superintendent & Maryland County women.

  • 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM: Medical Mission Volunteering Services at Pleebo Healthcare Center

    • 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Morning Session

    • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch Break

    • 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Afternoon Session


Day 2 - Tuesday, December 8: First Tour - Bigtown (Gbenelu)

  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: First Tour - Bigtown (Gbenelu)

    • Town Hall Meeting and Distribution of Clothing and School Supplies.

    • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM - Lunch

    • 1:00 PM - Meet at the City Hall

  • 1:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Visit to Spring Hill


Day 3 - Wednesday, December 9: Community Engagement & Coastal Beaches

  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Barriken - Second Tour

    • Town Hall Meeting and Distribution of Clothing and School Supplies.

    • 12:00 - 1:00 PM Lunch

  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Ma Gray/Ayee Beach

    • Explore the picturesque shores of Ma Gray/Ayee Beach

    • Beach Activities and Beach volleyball
      **No transportation provided. Come in your own vehicle.


Day 4 - Thursday, December 10: Community Engagement

  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Noon): Maryland County Youth Empowerment Workshop

  • 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch

  • 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Explore/Dedicate Farmland


Day 5 - Friday, December 11: Third tour

  • 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Liberia/Ivory Coast border, to see the bridge construction and then across the river to visit Tabou, Ivory Coast.

**Travel documents required if going to Tabou.
**No transportation provided. Come in your own vehicle.


Day 6 - Saturday, December 12:  Harper City & Dinner/Ball - TBD

  • 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Display by the Maryland Surfers at Dolly/Tubman Beach

  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch

  • 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Explore the picturesque Harper City

  • 8:00 PM - "Wee-Wee Hours": Dinner & Ball

    • Dress to Impress! (Tickets: Students $7, Standard $15/person, VIP $ 50/person)


Day 7 - Sunday, December 13: Farewell & Departure

  • Morning: Church Service (for those staying back) at St. Theresa Cathedral

  • Day: Departure.

Two choices from Monrovia to Harper.

i) By Road  

ii) By Local airline- Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF)

 

2. Air France to Ivory Coast, you will have to drive to the  Liberian border. Note:Be prepared for searches by the Ivorian securities at various checkpoints.
