Join us for an unforgettable week in Maryland County, Liberia, as we connect with our heritage, contribute to the community, and explore the beauty of the region!

Day 1 - Monday, December 15: Arrival & Welcome to Harper

  • 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM: Official Welcome & Kola Nuts Ceremony at the Administration Building, hosted by the Traditional Leaders/Chiefs, esteemed Superintendent & Maryland County women.

  • 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM: Medical Mission Volunteering Services at JJ Dossen Hospital

    • 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Morning Session

    • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch Break

    • 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Afternoon Session

 

Day 2 - Tuesday, December 16: First tour & Continued Service

  • 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM: Breakfast

  • 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM: First Tour - Beaches & Coastal Towns

    • Explore the picturesque shores of Fishtown, Middletown, and Rocktown beaches.

  • 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM: Medical Mission Continues with designated personnel (Optional)

 

Day 3 - Wednesday, December 17: Community & Culture

  • 8:40 AM - 9:40 AM: Visit to the Superintendent's Office.

  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Noon): Children's Party at the Merry-Go-Round.

  • 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM: War Dance performance.

 

Day 4 - Thursday, December 18: Second tour - Hoffman River/Plunken

  • 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM: Breakfast

  • 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM (Noon): Harper City Exploration

    • Enjoy a scenic canoe ride on the Hoffman River to Plunken.

  • 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Free Time to relax or explore independently.

  • 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Display by the Maryland Surfers at Dolly/Tubman beach

  • 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Ma Gray Beach/Island Activities

    • Beach volleyball

 

Day 5 - Friday, December 19: Third tour - Barrobo/Karluway/Pleebo

  • 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM: Breakfast

  • 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Barrobo/Karluway Community Outreach

    • Town Hall Meeting and distribution of clothing and school supplies.

  • 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Pleebo Community Outreach

    • Town Hall Meeting and distribution of clothing and school supplies.

Day 6 - Saturday, December 20: Business and Fundraising Dinner/Ball

  • 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM (Noon): "Business of Maryland" Seminar.
    - Administration Building

  • 1:00 APM - 2:00 PM Pledebo border - Liberia/Ivory Coast border, to see the bridge construction. No transportation provided. Come in your own vehicle.

  • 8:00 PM - "Wee-Wee Hours": Dinner & Ball

    • An elegant evening of celebration! Gentlemen are encouraged to wear Grebo attire, and women in African fashion. (tickets: Standard $50/person, VIP $100/person)

 

Day 7 - Sunday, December 21: Farewell & Departure

  • Morning: Church Service (for those staying back).

  • Day: Departure.
